Got yourself a pair of Beats Solo3 headphones? Before you can start using them, you need to pair them with your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Android. This quick tutorial will show you how to connect your Beats Solo3 wireless headphones to any of these devices.
How to Connect Beats Solo3 to iPhone & iPad
Beats use a similar pairing process to the Apple AirPods, so connecting the Beats Solo3 to an iPhone or iPad is fast and straightforward. Here’s what you must do:
- Unlock your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and make sure that the switch next to Bluetooth is on.
- Press and hold the Power button on your Beats Solo3—on the bottom outer edge of the right earphone—until the five lights beneath it start to flash.
- A Beats Solo3 pairing animation should appear on your iPhone or iPad. Tap Connect. The headphones are now paired and should automatically connect whenever you turn them on.
Troubleshooting Tip: If the Beats pairing animation does not show up on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth, put your Beats Solo3 in pairing mode, and tap Beats Solo3 once it appears under Other Devices.
How to Connect Beats Solo3 to Mac
If you use the same Apple ID on your iPhone and Mac, pairing your Beats Solo3 to your iPhone will automatically pair the headphones to your Mac. If not, or you just want to connect the headphones with your Mac, you must pair them manually. To do that:
- Open the Apple menu and select System Settings.
- Select Bluetooth on the sidebar and ensure the Bluetooth switch is active.
- Put your Beats Solo3 in pairing mode—press and hold the Power button until you see the five lights flashing.
- Once Beats Solo3 appears under Nearby Devices, select Connect.
How to Connect Beats Solo3 to Android
Beats Solo3 is fully compatible with Android phones and tablets. To pair the headphones, you must visit the Bluetooth Settings. Here are the steps:
- Open the Settings app on your Android and tap Connected devices.
- Tap the option labeled Pair new device.
- Press and hold the Power button on your Beats Solo3 until the five lights under it flash, then tap Beats Solo3 once it appears under Available devices.
- Tap Pair on the Pair with Beats Solo? confirmation pop-up. If you want to use the headphones to make and receive calls, enable the switch next to Also allow access to contacts and call history.
Note: After pairing your Beats Solo3 with your Android, you can configure how the headphones work by downloading the Beats app from the Google Play Store.
Chill to the Beat
Connecting your Beats Solo3 to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac is really easy. The pairing information syncs over iCloud, so you can connect the headphones once and seamlessly use them on all your Apple devices. The headphones also pair easily with Android and most other Bluetooth-compatible devices. Just put the Beats Solo3 in pairing mode, follow the pairing process related to the device, and you’re all set.
