Dilum Senevirathne is a freelance tech writer and blogger. He has three years of experience contributing to online tech publications and relishes the opportunity to help people make the most out of technology.
He got his start at Guiding Tech, where he has written (and continues to write) hundreds of how-tos, explainers, and troubleshooting guides on a diverse range of topics related to Apple products and Google web apps.
Meanwhile, he began contributing to iPhone Hacks, where he talks about the latest features for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. He now also writes for the Apple tech blog Switching to Mac and Make Use Of.
As a kid, Dilum cut his teeth troubleshooting the myriad Windows 98 errors in his first-ever PC. He then started upgrading and building custom PCs to fuel his video gaming addiction. Getting an iPad on launch day (way back in 2010) started his gradual transition into the Apple ecosystem. He now uses an iPhone, an iPad Pro, and a Mac as his daily drivers.
Although his main area of expertise lies in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, he doesn't stray far from Android and Windows. That gives him a much broader perspective of the consumer technology landscape.
Dilum holds a Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA and AICPA. He hails from Sri Lanka.
