Just wanted to vent about how much it sucks to be driving home from work in the dark every night. (Add a long string of cuss words here).

Yeah I'm no so fond of the whole "dark at 5pm thing" - but I'll admit to absolutely loving the extra hour of sleep. Of course now that I'm self employed, it doesn't mean as much, and I'd trade it back for the extra hour of daylight.

My Dad, may he rest in peace, hated DST more than any other human.  We were farmers... and here was how he saw it... to make up for the time chance everyone had to go to work an hour earlier and work an hour later.  Interestingly enough, in the Spring when the time changes back it was the same thing... hour earlier to work and an hour later. As a father of a 3 year old son and a 1 year old son, I love it. Kids think it's bedtime much earlier now!  Grin
